The Government has so far resisted calls for the introduction of Drug Consumption Rooms. Nevertheless, there is growing evidence that they can reduce drug-related harms, including overdose deaths and injecting in public places. This workshop will examine the evidence from abroad and consider some of the obstacles to setting up DCRs in the British context - with a particular focus on the policing implications. |
