Graeme Pearson QPM
Director, Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency

Graeme has held command positions in Strathclyde Police, Scotland in a number of key operational/ specialist areas.

In October 1998 he was appointed Assistant Chief Constable of the Force serving initially in the Community Safety Portfolio and later in the Crime Portfolio where he oversaw the Force's policy, strategy and performance in respect of confronting criminology. In 2002 he was awarded the Queen's Police Medal (QPM).

Graeme was appointed as the Director of the Scottish Crime and Drugs Enforcement Agency (SCDEA) in March 2004. With the rank of Deputy Chief Constable he is responsible for spearheading the law enforcement effort against serious organised crime in Scotland. He is a member of ACPO in Scotland (ACPOS) and is the AssociationÅfs lead officer on serious organised crimes. Graeme represents the SCDEA and ACPOS on a number of committees at home and abroad. Graham is a graduate of Glasgow University.
