Paul Broadbent
Chief Superintendent, District Commander, Sheffield One, South Yorkshire Police

Paul is the Chief Superintendent and District Commander for one of the two Basic Command Units that comprise the fourth largest city in the UK. His responsibilities include the east and city centre, a Premier League Football Ground, Meadowhall Shopping Centre and other international sporting venues.

Paul has 24 years service having served at each rank within the Criminal Investigation Department including the Drugs Squad, Robbery and Serious Crime Squads. More recently he headed the Force Serious and Organised Crime and Armed Crime Units and had responsibility for all covert policing operations in the county. He was also a Senior Investigating Officer for three years.

In 2001 Paul spent six months in the United States studying major crime and drug trends and has seen the effects and drain on resources caused by Methamphetamine. He is a member of various multi-agency boards and chairs the Sheffield Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership.
