Simon Bray
Commander, Metropolitan Police Service

Simon joined the MPS in 1983 after studying law at Durham University and completing a short service commission in the Royal Artillery.

His service throughout London, in uniformed and detective roles has also featured specialist public order policing command. Other postings have included secondments to HM Inspectorate of Constabulary, the Cabinet Office and the Royal College of Defence Studies. He has been a Commander in the MPS since 2003, working within the Specialist Crime Directorate and, latterly, Territorial Policing, where has responsibilities for South West London. He is the Met's lead on patrol and response policing and has been a member of the ACPO Drugs Committee since 2005.
